U.K. Information Commissioner John Edwards discussed the impact the Freedom of Information Act has had on privacy rights since it was enacted 20 years ago. Edwards said the agency will continue to develop the FOIA and promote “good record keeping and encouraging the proactive disclosure of information that’s in the public interest or safe to disclose.”
