The director of Spain’s data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, had her voluntary resignation accepted by Royal Decree of the Council of Ministers. Mar España was originally appointed director of the AEPD in 2015. The agency will continue operating under its statutory authority until a new director is appointed.
