European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski co-hosted the International Working Group on Data Protection in Technology meeting focused on bringing together privacy professionals to examine data security and the advancement of technology. The group also discussed AI development, with Wiewiórowski noting “rapid progress” and “potential for high returns on investment” are “fuelling the AI race that could pose significant pervasive risks to individuals if not properly managed.”
