Croatia’s Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy said employers can inspect and record data from a workers’ identity cards without storing a copy of the original. Its opinion comes after Croatia’s Personal Data Protection Agency said worker identity cards are not one of the records employers are required to protect and keep as part of the employee records ordinance.
