Cybersecurity insurance companies reported a 14% rise in claims within the first six months, with many organizations claiming over 1 million euros in damages, Help Net Security reports. Allianz Commercial Global Head of Cyber and Financial Lines Vanessa Maxwell said, while companies need to enlist stronger data protection safeguards, insurance companies have “a key role to play in offering loss prevention and mitigation advice to businesses about this increasingly important area of exposure.”
