Signal President Meredith Whittaker detailed the nonprofit’s efforts to protect user privacy and prevent the use of surveillance, Wired reports. Whittaker said in the next 10 years Signal will continue to “create the kinds of endowments and support mechanisms that can sustain capital-intensive tech without the surveillance business model.”
