The Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner issued an updated guide to video surveillance deployment. The regulator said it has seen a 20% increase in complaints about video surveillance this year compared to the same time in 2023. The complaints are largely spurred by camera use by private people or companies, and the office encouraged becoming familiar with the German surveillance camera laws.
