The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority is probing whether an investment from Google in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic warrants a closer look and subsequent scrutiny, the Guardian reports. The CMA is also examining similar deals between Amazon and Anthropic and other high-priced investments from large technology companies into other AI startups.
