The Global Privacy Enforcement Network announced it completed a review of more than 1,000 websites and apps, finding a vast majority employed at least one deceptive design pattern “that made it difficult for users to make privacy-protective decisions.” The review involved officials from 26 global data protection authorities and was conducted between 29 Jan.-2 Feb.
