ICO asks businesses to address AI privacy risks; Google’s Bard EU debut on hold

The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office called on businesses leveraging generative artificial intelligence tools “to address the privacy risks” while announcing “tougher checks on whether organisations are compliant with data protection laws.”
Google’s generative AI tool Bard will not debut in the EU until the company satisfies privacy concerns raised by Ireland’s Data Protection Commission, Politico reports.
